At less than a year old, Oscar was diagnosed with a critical heart defect and required immediate open-heart surgery.
After his surgery, Oscar remained in intensive care for over five weeks. His parents, Emma and Jack, struggled with their mental health throughout Oscar’s diagnosis and treatment and began receiving support from Family Support Worker Cindy in May 2023.
"Cindy’s support for me is like having the friend you didn’t know you needed."
Cindy provided emotional support for the family, helping them come to terms with Oscar’s diagnosis.
"With a frog in my throat, I don’t know where I’d be without Cindy."
Rainbow Trust Family Support Workers provide a lifeline to families with a seriously ill child. Your legacy could support seriously ill children and their families in crisis.
